Hollow steel bearer systems

The power-operated setting device in hollow steel bearer systems consists of electromechanical equipment for remote turnout actuation.

It differs from conventional operating setting device systems (for which please refer to the dedicated product family) as it allows to easily carry out the ballast tamping operations with automatic machines even in the maneuver area of the switch.

It consists consist of the following basic parts:

a) power-operated point machine
b) actuation and detection rods in hollow steel bearer
c) hollow steel bearer

The hollow steel bearer acts as a support for the P80 power-operated point machine, secures the same to the turnout stock rails, and allows housing the actuation and detection rods inside it.
